Job Offers in the future

Hey guys! It’s us from NYP’s DMMM again! :)

Like the post title said, we will be listing some of the future jobs you can venture into after you graduate with a Diploma in Mass Media Management. I remember I used to think about this question when I first joined!

Graduates from this diploma can look forward to executive or junior management level career opportunities in the media industry, including venturing into various mediums such as advertising, TV and radio production and broadcasting, print and publishing, public relations & media marketing etc. Graduates with good academic achievements may be accepted for degree courses by local and reputable overseas universities in United Kingdom, Australia and USA.

Even if you cannot get into a university with the course of your choice after you have graduated, it’s perfectly fine to dive into the media industry and gain some valuable hands-on experience to shape your career. Also, a good portfolio during your three years in polytechnic is definitely a plus for your future employers.

There are many opportunities given in our course and we’re sure there would be something suitable for everyone to pursue in the future!

Diploma in Mass Media Management is from the School of Business Management (SBM) and the media hub where we do our Teaching Enterprise Project (TEP) during our third year is located at Blk C! All of our lessons and lectures would also be either at Blk B or C! :D

Diploma in Mass Media Management – Introduction to Course

Hi everyone!
Here’s a post to answer some of your doubts and questions about our course.

How and why was Diploma in Mass Media Management created?
Diploma in Mass Media Management (DMMM) is specially designed and developed by the School of Business Management (SBM), together with the Media Development Authority (MDA) and other leading industry practitioners, where the aim is to meet the new manpower needs of the media industry.

The course not only trains students to be media savvy and creative but also to have entrepreneurial and management skills. For the first and second year, you will be taught modules such as Journalistic Writing, Multi-Camera Production, Business Law, People Supervisory Management and etc.

Whereas for the third year, you would have the great opportunity to undergo 21 weeks of Industrial Placement Programme (IPP) at a leading media organization such as MDA. For the second semester of your final year, it would be spent on a hands-on training programme called Teaching Enterprise Project (TEP) that exposes students to TV and Print production projects through handling our very own campus TV network, NYPTV and other industry-related projects.
